Common Questions

1. Equipment-wise, i’m not sure what we need, we both have guitars, but depending on how big the tent is we may need mics/amps/cables? i think it’s just us two playing guitar and singing so yeah.

- We will set up all equipment including mics. However, if you plan on having more than three singers you might want to bring some mics, we will probably have XLR cables but check with us to make sure. The only thing you need to bring is instruments.

2. I would love to lead/assist worship but I can’t amp my guitar (. I can play keyboard and violin. I just wanted to get some more info on how I can help/who I could team up with if anyone is willing.)

-Please bring an acoustic/electric guitar since we will be amplifying it. To play with other musicians please contact us and we can help you connect with other musicians and worship leaders.

3. I was wondering if for tabling/welcome, I would be allowed to bring my guitar to worship quietly outside as well? Last year when i went there was a lot of down time for tablers and it was also hard to hear or join in the worship during downtime because the tent actually does block out a lot of sound.

-Yes of course, please bring your guitar if you want to play outside of the tent if you are going to be doing the welcome table. However, the worship will be pretty loud so you might end up not playing. Each year we have a different set-up.

4. I was wondering if there is anyway to contact people signed up for worship ahead of time to ask to be on set with them? Or would I just show up and see?

-Please contact LoveTent and we can try our best to connect you with other musicians or worship leaders.

5. I was just checking in to see if it’s ok for someone older that is not a student at UCSD to come? I understand it’s open to anyone.

-Of course. We are inviting everyone including students and non-students, of all ages.
