We started doing the Love Tent in 2007 on the UCSD campus.  In 2008 and 2009 the Love Tent grew and grew and we felt like God was really causing this explosion of prayer and worship through the First Commandment, which is to love God with all our heart, soul, mind and strength (Luke 10:27).

The Love Tent has since spread to more universities in California.  Students at UC Riverside, UC Merced, and CSU Long Beach have launched 40 hours of worship and prayer on their campuses and we are so encouraged that many others are also planning on doing the Love Tent on their campuses.

It’s easy to start the LoveTent on your campus.  All you need is a heart that is abandoned to God and hunger for Jesus.

1.  You will need a tent.

2.  You will need some musicians.

3.  You will need a permit from your campus to set up a tent for 40 hours.

4.  You will need a way to get the word out.
